Me, myself and some visual effects.

I was born in South Africa and grew up in an internationally known wine region called Stellenbosch (look for a bottle of red, the next time you're at the wine boutique). Growing up in a country with a troubled passed with race and class history was not easy for many. But learning and understanding a diverse culture while growing up, is to this day a priceless treasure.

My career in the arts started at High School attending a private art school, while my final years at school got me to work as a radio presenter at a community Radio Station. After school I joined a film society at a University where I attended every possible video and design workshops on offer.
It was here where video production became a secondary for me, and post production and visual effects my top interests. This followed with a lucky break with a company specialising in new media and video production, where I excelled for four years before leaving for my first international destination...Germany.

 

Being well informed about the German standards for TV and Post Production, I had to divert from the industry to learn the language first. But this was for the better, as I succesfully spent a year in Berlin studying the language and Aupair for a five year old boy. This was no easy task, as I also squeezed in an internship in at an Award Winning post production house called Effekt-Etage. With a glimse of the European Standards for Broadcast work and fluent in German, I got my lucky break at a production house in Berlin as a Motion Graphics Producer for two years.
Within the company, I could work with studio's and clients in USA, UK and Asia. This was where I got my «world knowledge» of global operations for video and design work.

When South Africa hosted the 2010 world cup football, there was no way I could miss it. With my full-time work contract finished in Europe and knowledge of the world, I started freelancing in South Africa specializing in Video Design for Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer commercials.

Finding myself these days between South Africa and Norway, I keep pushing my own design limits while addressing my clients requests from USA to Asia through offshore productions.
